Resolved Question: Why is it a ‘double-edged sword’ for religious to present their beliefs in such things as AA and other rehabs?

Isn’t it just basically substituting one type of addiction for another? I mean, ok so you are not using cocaine anymore, but now you are using all your time ‘churching’ instead. Why can’t there be another way to rehabilitate people that does not include the church? It’s like a person cannot get the help they need without having to somehow ‘convert’ to a belief they do not adhere to.
Thank You, Skeptic! What if someone doesn’t believe there is something greater than ourselves, why should they be forced to believe it in order to get help for their addiction.
